Selena Gomez got legggggs (and red lips)
Last night, in New York, the little bundle of Texan brunette loveliness that is Selena Gomez sang a song. She wasn’t trying to get a baby to fall asleep or entertaining herself in the shower, she was performing at Disney Upfront – the showcase of all their 2011 animated series’.
Disney is normally a wholesome Wurlitzer of fluffy animals and lightly shrouded casual racism, but occasionally they get a bit racy. Look at Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Vanessa Hudgens and Simba’s mum (just us on that one, is it?) – all symbols of sexiness.
Selena Gomez is another example. Apparently (read: according to Wikipedia), Selena Gomez is best known for appearing as Alex Russo in the Emmy Award-winning Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. We have literally never heard of that. To us, she’s best known for appearing as a really hot girl in dresses and appearing as a really hot girl on beaches. And, frustratingly, smooching Justin Bieber.

But Disney has to be a bit careful when it dips its toe into the bath of sexiness. It’s primarily for kids, you see, and the parental guardians of said kids don’t tend to take too kindly to their offspring being subjected to images of a sexual nature. They get all offended and write strongly-worded letters of complaint.
No one likes receiving strongly-worded letters of complaint, so Disney took the precaution of making sure Selena Gomez didn’t do anything too sexy at the showcase last night. They put her in a nice red dress and even gave her a black cape to drape over her shoulders, lest she accidentally flash too much shoulder.
That’s all well and good, but it doesn’t really get our pulse racing. So, our hearty congratulations to the plucky photographer that charmed his way into Selena Gomez’s hotel room while she was getting ready. We have him to thank for these ravishing shots of Selena Gomez putting her shoes on, which is a lot sexier than it sounds.
