Tesla Model S Starts with the Highest Priced
Tesla Motors Inc., is an electric carmaker which is the son of Daimler AG and Toyota Motor Corp. They are saying that the first 1,000 units of their electric Model S sedan will be produced next year as the most expensive version. There are around 5,000 units to be made at their factory at Fremont, California, in 2012.
This first model is the ‘Signature Series’ which is able to run for 300 miles with a single full charge. The price will be $ 77,400, not including the federal tax credit. Some analysts said that this is a great step to start with the one who will give you the highest revenue. Beside that, if you think this is your premium product, it will be better to start from the highest priced than from way down version.
Tesla was recently reported that their loss was widened from $ 23.2 million last year into $ 51.4 million last month because they are increasing their investment for the Model S. Tesla’s vice president of sales, George Blankenship, promised that this new model will bring a unique badging and an extended option. The base level of Tesla Model S will run 160 miles per charge for $ 57,400, while the one which is capable of 230 miles will be $ 67,400.
